Chimes of a Lost Cathedral by Janet Fitch

5.0

This was a well researched book! As with the first one, the political atmosphere was spot on. It did a great job of making the reader aware of the situation that the people had to endure during this time. I loved how Marina experienced the intensity of motherhood and how that relates to the communist plan. The part about Iskra dying was so intense that it stayed with me for a few days. My only wish was that there was an epilogue that told what happened to Anton and writers ( though history tells us) and how she ended up in the states.
