   I haven't read this in forty years or more. it's lovely to revisit a bit of childhood and see that it continues to bring pleasure. There are some old prejudices I could do without, but they aren't harped on, so it's easier to bear. Anne is still the brilliant child growing toward adulthood that I loved as a kid. Finally, I'm going to get around to reading the rest of the series. Happy reading!
