P.S. I Love You by Cecelia Ahern

3.0

I watched the movie first and fell in love with the love that Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler were able to portray. Starting the book I knew it'd be quite different, and still liked the side characters and thought the movie portrayed them accurately. However the movie also gussied it up a bit more, and you weren't so much in Holly's head than just witnessing the motions of her depression and survival through loss. While with the book Holly's inner thoughts are scrolled along the pages as whiney ramblings. I was constantly eager for interactions with her family (of which are hilarious and loving). still peeved about the Daniel relationship more so in the book than the movie.
