Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert
4.0

Another sweet and funny read from Talia Hibbert's Brown Sisters series. I found Eve and Jacob to be to be interesting. I also enjoyed the inclusionary aspect of Hibbert's stories. From Chole having Fibromayalisa and Jacob having autism I find it nice to see because there are not a lot of romance books that include a non-stereotypical version of these types of people and how they navigate their lives and romance encounters.

Eve is a nice character who I find fits Jacob very well. I can relate to Jacob because I myself think order and properness are ways to navigate life properly. When I come across people who break that I typically have an initial disdain towards them and find them to be uncomfortable to be around. After a while of getting to know them and everything my view of them change for the better. I acknowledge that it is bad but my brain unfortunately cannot help how it is wired sometimes. I also say/explain myself in a weird way which can lead to misunderstandings something and I feel really bad about it afterwards. (I do not know if I also have autism or not but I do have some speculations. I have not been professionally diagnosed with it so I will not claim it.) Eve gives him a needed balance that I believe people with our kind of mindset need to experience at least once or twice in our lifetime (with some boundaries of course).

This was a great read and I hope to read Take a Hint Dani Brown soon as well. Well done again Ms. Talia Hibbert I really enjoyed this.
