i really don't know what to do with this series. it seemed promising at the outset, but i think i kept expecting larger scales and more epic dramas than what ends up happening. there's some resolution in the ending to this one, and some indication that things might be changing, but the central dramatic conflict of the entire trilogy remains unresolved with no hint of a future resolution. meanwhile it kind of feels like breq just keeps on doing sidequests
