Really not sure what I thought of this. A slow start with a sub plot that seemed to go nowhere, and then the middle was pure/classic Grisham, which I loved. Not sure if it would have helped if I'd re-read The Firm, but I couldn't really relate to the McDeeres. It slowed up a little, but then I couldn't put it down and.. meh?

So was this about Mitch? Bendini? The former colleague who he stopped to visit with en route from Memphis to Nashville. What was "The Exchange"? which I was at one point thinking would be Abby or Mitch for Giovanna. The ending just seemed to fizzle with his departure and Giovanna's "Happily ever after"

Worth a read and not bad, but not as good as I'd hoped either.
