Took me almost a year to finish this book. It's not bad and I'm a math person so I should like it. The problem is before I started reading it, I went to a talk by the author and I found him somewhat annoying so that clouded my enjoyment of the book as I just pictured him the entire time I was reading it. (One of the things that annoyed me most at his talk was how he basically said his book was so great because it was unique and it was the first math book for non-math people, bla bla bla. I happen to own a number of books of math-for-the-common-person which were great reads so he should get off his high horse as he's not that special...)
