When I read this book, I actually would find myself feeling bad for the main character, Vladimir Tod. He's confused about if he should follow his vampire instincts or stay true to the human values that he has lived with his entire life. The author did a fantastic job of making the reader feel and understand what Vladimir Tod is going through.
