A Spinster's Guide to Danger and Dukes
by Manda Collins
i didn't love the first two books of this series that much but omg this book changed everything. first of all, i have been reading solely historical romance at the moment because i am in fact in a massive bridgerton hangover until the rest of season 3 comes out in june. first off, the vibes of the romance absolutely elite, i love some marriage of convenience, i'm a big fan of the trope. secondly, i loved the whole found family element, not to mention the dowager was so fun. also the mystery in this one was so intriguing i could not put this book down. i literally devoured this book, even though i had it on my shelf for a year. all the male main characters in this series actually have been really well written, as well as the female main characters, but it felt like there was more of an even distribution of the male and female viewpoints in this book, which made it more well rounded, in my opinion. anyways, you should 100% read the other books in this series before this one if only for the satisfaction of seeing the arcs of these characters and getting all the little cameos of the other couples. 5 ⭐️!!
