The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne

4.0

*I'm basing this star rating purely on how much I enjoyed/was interested in the book, but on its merits as a classic. I'll leave the analysis to someone more qualified for that than myself*

I had read this in 10th grade for school and hadn't really enjoyed it then. I decided I should give it a second chance as an adult, now that I am better acquainted with the language of classics and have more life experience. It still isn't my favorite classic, but I did enjoy it more now than when I was 16. I don't know if I'll ever come back and reread it again, but I am glad I have more than my high school, negative experience with it.
