P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han

2.0

I'm struggling between making this a solid 2 stars or 2.5 stars. It's very cute, but a little juvenile, definitely not written for my demographic (I'm in my 20s, this is not *for* me). I think it's one of the few instances of the movie being generally better than the book. I really disliked the hot tub drama because it truly felt like an adult writing about teenagers rather than teenagers just being teenagers. Maybe it's because things get dated pretty quickly nowadays, but the entire first half was just awkward to read. I did like the relationship between Lara Jean and John Ambrose, way more than the movie, though the twist at the retirement home could be seen from a mile away. Overall, it's a cute story that can be enjoyed by the right reader.
