Insanely beautiful art, intriguing world-building, multi-layered characters who all bear secrets and an engaging plot that always keeps you guessing about what happens next. The whole vibe is very reminiscent of certain Final Fantasies, but much more mature, and mixed with a lot of cosmic and body horror. I also love that almost all the characters are female and/or queer, which is the opposite of most comics. All in all there’s simply nothing else like Monstress out there.
