Slow Boat by Hideo Furukawa

Hmmm. Probably wouldn't read this one again. Whilst I learnt some interesting things about Japan's history that I previously didn't know, the main characters emphasis on explaining (in fine detail) three relationships that shaped his entire existence was a bit over the top.

Interested in that this book was mean to be a 'remake' of a Murakami book.
