A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

4.0

PROS:
- Fantastic ending
- The world-building explodes in the best of ways
- Makes badass scenes genuinely badass
- Opens the series universe quite substantially
- Serves as a rare case where the sequel lives up to the first entry
- Expertly crafted plot and universe building that never once feels like padding

CONS:
- Oversaturated with new characters, most of whom are too similar to one another
- Rhys is a literal copy-paste edge lord, and has a much less unique personality than the Lords of Spring or Summer
- Some too convenient plot points - the sisters 'punishment' at the end of the book was a bit much
