book 10 for my october horror reading challenge
this was absolutely fantastic. i admit at first it wasn’t quite my vibe because it felt very fantasy-esque, and i’m unfortunately just not a fantasy guy, but as i got into the story and the world it got really good. to me the only book ive read that felt similar to this is hell followed with us by andrew joseph white, as in it's set in a world overrun by bigot monsters, and told as if it's fantasy but with a horror-like plot. overall more dark fantasy than horror, but very good.
