I got through to chapter 7, and eventually gave up. The story took a very long time to get anywhere, spending most of its time giving the reader a small dose of a character. There were so many characters that by the time you move to the next POV you no longer care about any other characters because you were given such small crumbs of personality. It is hard to pick a POV to care about, and none of the characters were that great.
The author is good at descriptions, but seemed to get lost in the descriptions and left everything else to fend for itself.
