I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban by Malala Yousafzai

4.0

This is my first autobiography. I remember watching her on the news, no idea when but I remember her. I'm not completely aware of anything she said in the book. It's refreshing to know what is really happening there from a local's point of view. The stories, the experiences her family have, the brilliance that is her father. Since I'm new to her life I had to do a little internet research here and there to get a full picture of what she was telling. My teachers will be proud. Talk about "reading books and learning things not taught inside a classroom." I had a difficult time reading it, but that didn't mean I didn't enjoy the book. It's just my lack of background about where she's coming from.
