He falls fast for Hallie. Though she's not far behind him, so I would say this is pretty insta-love.
It does have dark Mafia themes: check triggers.
I just didn't like how immature the way Hallie spoke sounded to me, for someone who was also smart. Also the last few chapters felt a bit rushed, even though it's a long book. I will say I got so into it I didn't even realize it was 500 pages long. It moves fast which kept my attention.
I did like the brothers' dynamic and how Hallie fit in. She met Conan on his crazy I felt like. I wish it had more of the MMA aspect that was pushed at first but that's ok. Oh and I can't forget Bertie, her golden retriever!, and his antics! 🐕
It was a fun, fast moving read.
It is very spicy. 🌶️
