Brilliant follow-up to the first book. The world building is great and the new characters are wonderful (Murgatroyd and Dearborn were a great surprise) . Some definite frustration with the teaching staff being super biased against Morrigan, but their reactions are very believable. Loved the twist on the bad guy for the novel. Squall is such a compelling villain too - so charismatic and doing what the reader wants for Morrigan the whole time (teaching her how to be a Wundersmith).
