Sisters
by Raina Telgemeier
Having loved both [b:Smile|18811325|Smile|Raina Telgemeier|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1384702558s/18811325.jpg|6582125] and [b:Drama|13436373|Drama|Raina Telgemeier|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1330157763s/13436373.jpg|18940474], I was really looking forward to this book, but I don't feel like it lived up to my expectations. Maybe it was just me, but I didn't love it the same way I loved Telgemeier's other books. This memoir does perfectly encapsulate what it means to have a younger sister who is close to you in age, all the fighting, teasing, and small moments of love, and that I absolutely connected to. But I just didn't engage on the same level as I have with other books lately and I didn't particularly care what happened. But, as always, the art is wonderful, colorful, and expressive. It's still a lot of fun and I would absolutely give this book to middle school girls, and, in fact, I'm already pushing it on my 11-year-old stepsister.
