I really did bot enjoy this book half as much as I wanted to. One of the review questions is about character flaws... This whole book is based on the absolutely massive flaws of all of the characters. Throughout the book i wanted to punch both Erin and Brendan for various reasons, but mostly because of their inability to fucking communicate in any way that wasn't sex.
If brendan had forced a conversation 4 years ago this wouldn't even be a book ... I know that's bot the point but due to one of his huge character flaws this book lasted way longer than it really needed to. And don't get me started on the fact that Erin is nothing but a people pleaser but never finds pleasure for herself.
I know, i really do know that it's fiction and the miscommunication trope happens in 90% of romance books but i read romance to escape into happier lives not to read about people with worse social skills than myself. I do not want to be angry at every single character in a book. I also don't enjoy a ton of introspection like Erin has... Like so fucking much inner monologuing is pointless.
Suffice to say i did not enjoy this at all and wish I'd dnfed it.
Oh well. I'm still hoping to find a book by this author that i will love
