Dead Souls by Nikolai Gogol

5.0

The characters and setting were both full of life, each with there owns distinct voice and history. Even though some of the pages are missing, I thought the plot was intriguing and led me to want to know more about what was the motive behind buying the dead souls and what the main character would do once acquired. The writing style was enjoyable because it gave me insights into the varying characters as well as what the author was thinking of a particular moment.
