Love Anthony by Lisa Genova

3.0

Still Alice, is a hard act to follow. This book is highly readable, but it doesn't grip you in the same way Genova's previously two books do. Perhaps it is because there is still so much uncertainty and unknown about Autism, but I didn't come away from this book feeling like I had a much better understanding of the affliction than when I went in. In both of her other novels, I felt that I came away with a bit more knowledge than I had started with (which is a positive thing to me). I didn't love the overall storyline either, but I will admit that the ending did encourage the tears to flow. Still worth a read, but keep in mind that it's not another Still Alice.
