This book was an adventure! but a rather short and fast-paced one. The stakes are super high in this, like "save the world in a week" kind of high.
This is a companion novel to Wicked Fox, we follow new characters, but they are also not newly introduced ones. The two main characters in this book were side characters in the first ones, and the two mains from Wicked Fox also have a prominent role in this book. The story itself is a continuation of the first book.
To me, it is incredible how this book takes place in such a short amount of time frame yet we get to experience an in=depth relationship between our two main characters who go from constant bickering > friendly terms > flirting > angst. All whilst trying to save their friend AND the world.
Even though the stakes are high, the story has a cozy or atmospheric feel to it, yet has its emotional points.
I very much enjoyed this book, both books in the companion duology to be fair.
