Though not the actual ending of the series, this nonetheless is an extremely good point to leave off on while we wait for the grand finale. But while not a true finale it is GRAND, it might be even better than Traitor in my opinion, and provides some much-needed vindication. Baru's character development in this book is nothing short of masterful, and the book ends up surprisingly hopeful. If you liked Traitor but wasn't sure if you were emotionally able to continue, this book makes it all worth it.
Graphic: Body horror, Cancer, Xenophobia, and Homophobia
Moderate: Transphobia
Minor: Sexual violence
If you've made it this far, it doesn't get any darker but I will include a major warning for lobotomy
