A tense, well-written book that explores a young woman’s damaged sense of self and how she meanders difficult relationships as she struggles to come to terms with herself and her art. 
Edie’s relationship with Eric is often hard to read, but Edie’s burgeoning relationship with his wife Rebecca and the bond she forms with Akila, their foster daughter, are what drew me in.
