Genna what the hell did you put in this book? Because I ate it up like it was a bag of popcorn and never wanted it to end. I was giggling, kicking my feet in glee, and my jaw was on the floor many many times. The twisty twists in this book had my jaw on the floor and screaming “are you f*cking kidding me” one too many times and rereading to make sure I read it correctly. I thought I had the book figured out and what was going on but Genna said sick b*tch try again. Genna’s writing PERFECTION, this story line PERFECTION, Jack fucking everything and PERFECTION. The thoughts going on in this man’s head was everything and so so hot. I could not do anything until I had finished this book and was up WAY too early on a work night. No third act break up made this book even better. Kronk the doggie had my heart and I the bond that Kronk and Jack built was so sweet.
I am 100% a mood reader and typically don’t reach for a darkish romance/dark academia romance but I had no issues picking this book. It was so good! I loved that every chapter name was also a line from that chapter. It made everything so much better and every line was iconic! Jack is a single father to an infant and he was everything, every time he said “little bear” I fell head over heels for him. Not even his stabby tendencies could throw me off and I swooned at these moments😍
She may have thought that Jack would never go for a woman like her but she was so wrong😍 I enjoyed watching Quinn and Sienna’s relationship and bond grow while also building her bond with Jack as well. The chemistry between Jack and Quinn is fantastic and I could feel it through the page! I loved that their relationship developed slowly through them getting to know each other💘
If you are looking for a student x professor, single dad x nanny, dark academi, twisty twists, no third act break up then this book is for you!
