Notes on an Execution by Danya Kukafka

4.0

Unique, emotional, powerful.

'Notes on an Execution' was a really great story of how one's cruel actions can affect many others that have known them. The different approach to tell the story of a serial killer was super well done in my opinion and it was beautifully written.

This book did take me a bit longer than what is typical for me to finish and that was mainly because the pacing was a lot slower than I was expecting going in. While I really enjoyed the story from beginning to end, the very first chapter from Lavender's POV is what drew me in so deeply. Unfortunately, I did not exactly get the same intense, gut wrenching feelings I was looking forward to throughout the book as I did from that chapter.
