I can see now why some reviewers are speechless after reading this book.

About a decade ago, I was very into watching body horror movies. This took me back to that time. I loved how LaRocca was able to put so much into these 100 pages.

We only see Agnes and Zoe through their emails and chats so we are left with many missing pieces but it's still not a disconnected story. The obsession is palpable, the desperation to belong to someone, to be cared for and loved is felt through the page.

I also loved how things are not explicitly written in the page. My imagination did the work thank you very much. The ending left me hanging from a thin thread where I could choose to take the plunge into imagining exactly what happened or I could keep myself there, hanging and trying to climb out of that image. (My imagination ran with it!)

I'd recommend this to horror fans. Body horror and toxic relationships are very prominent here. Only 100 pages, but the pack a punch!
