I'm obviously not in the target audience for this book—I like to cook so much that I was nerdy enough to read this book. It was written in about 1960 originally, so the recipes are very dated (hello dried beef, sour cream and mushroom soup!). I didn't find anything here that I would actually be interested in cooking. The writing was pretty funny, though, and it was interesting to have a glimpse into what was expected of a former generation of cooks, as well as the resources they had to work with.
