4.5
A solid 4.5 stars for me. This is the first book in a while that I’ve breezed through happily. If I had the choice, I wouldn’t have put it down. Since the first sentence I was already invested in the story. I love the storytelling. The format. I loved that I got to read the POV of different characters. I was absorbed.
I love the messages that this boko is trying to convey. Maybe a little bit on the nose and too much in your face, but hey, I do love girl power and that’s why I liked this book.
I have avoided this book like the plague as I have other romance books. But turns out, it’s not that much of a romance book. It’s mainly fiction and told the story of Elizabeth Zott. It was a great adventure with hints of mystery and I have nothing else to say other than it was awesome.
Why is it not a five-star read? Maybe because the ending felt a little bit stretched in my opinion. It’s mainly recounting things. In the end, I do love how it all wrapped up nicely in a little bow. I’m considering purchasing a physical copy to add on my shelves.
If you’re looking for something refreshing and brilliant story narration, I would suggest this book to you. I can’t want to read more from this writer.
