The Importance of Being Earnest
by Oscar Wilde
This is yet another book that I managed to get all the way through an English degree without once having to read. Actually it's a play, which I did not realize until opening this book. Written by Oscar Wilde, it's a satire of Victorian culture and mores. The gist of the story is about a man named Jack who has an alter ego, Ernest, who makes friends with another man, Algernon, who has his own alter ego, Bunbury. They become involved with two women and hijinks ensue. A fun story.
