This book is so fucking jarring. And I think everyone should read it.

Enchanted and her story were so well written. The medias portrayal of how this would’ve played out was so fucking well done. Everything about this book was perfect.

Showing everything through Enchanted point of view was amazing throughout the story. Being able to see the horrible elements in Bella and Edwards relationship but not the abusive ones in her own were amazing.

The black rep was beautiful. The way that Enchanted talked about her hair was beautiful. Every aspect of the black-femme-ness of this story was beautiful.

It was well paced, drawn out
Reading the end, and seeing that she actually did it was well foreshadowed, and so… just. I have no words

This book was a not necessarily joy to read, but was important. Again, this is such an amazing story that highlights abuse and power dynamics in paedophilic relationships, and is so needed. Especially in times like today, where shit like this is shown more in media.
