If you've heard she marries the father first, then moves on with the son, just know some people are seriously overplaying the situation. It's not icky.
Don't skip this book because people implied there was father/son cucking.
That's not what happens.

Anyway, I really enjoyed this! It sucked me in right from the get go and I liked the FMC a lot. The MMC was especially delightful. If they sell him somewhere, I'd like one, thanks.

Some people think the FMC makes dumb choices in the last quarter of the book. Pay close attention to her value system, and not the choices themselves. She is raised to be a good daughter and all that entails for their society and her choices consistently follow down that line everytime she has a choice to make. It's clear she needs to shake this system of beliefs, but that doesn't happen in this book.

Our girl is faced with hardship after trauma and doesn't have much time, let alone truth, to dismantle her core beliefs before things go to shit.

Now that a lot more truth is on the table with the ending, I'm hoping the next book gives her some breathing room to realize she can't be both a good daughter and control her own fate.

Next book, here we come!
