The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
4.0

Was this a good book? Yes. Is it worth all the hype? No.
Evelyn is a powerful woman and I absolutely adore her. Celia on the other hand is toxic as toxic can be and controles Evelyns life even when she’s not there. Evelyn deserved better.
Harry was an absolute sweetheart. Truly the highlight of this book.
The plot twist I did noooot see coming. Great way to shock the reader and it pulled the whole thing together. Evelyns motivation for asking Monique to write her memoirs, why she always told Monique she’d hate her. It’s cruel tho, what she did and having Monique sit through her whole story.
Her suicide was tragic but so very in character. I would have loved seeing more of Monique here. She went home knowing what Evelyn was about to do. She must be torn by guilt?
But yes. I enjoyed this book, not as much as others but still enjoyed it. But I do not think it is worth the massive hype it got.
