Blow Me Away by Christina Hovland

4.0

He's been attracted to her for awhile, but kept his feelings to himself. She thought he was just another playboy with a revolving door of women at his disposal, so when he asks her out, she doesn't take him seriously, but then his grandmother steps in and all hell breaks loose! This book is filled with laughs (mostly thanks to grandma and her antics.) The characters are something else. Some good, some not so much. There's issues with the family that play havoc on their relationship in addition to some personal issues he has. It has those good friends who help them see reason and help patch up the holes. There is that sad break up scene (tears will be shed) and the grand gesture (swoon worthy.) If you've read the first book in the series (Going Down on One Knee) you will recognize a couple of the side characters. This is a stand alone, though, so no need to worry if you haven't read that book yet. It's well written and reads smoothly and quickly. There is some sexual content and is suitable for mature readers.

*I volunteered to review an ARC of this book.
