The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan

3.0

The ending wrapped up pretty fast and it was full of action – the middle part dragged a bit, but I think that was essential because I needed to get to know the characters a little deeper and learn more about the world (to enrich the Wheel of Time experience). I can see why some people say Robert Jordan has problems with pacing. It took me 27 days to finish this! But I did read some books in between because if I didn't I probably would have gone in a slump. But I'm glad I now have an understanding of this world. I like the characters a lot, especially Perrin, for some reason. :-) Will I continue on with the series? Yes, absolutely. But not anytime soon, as it didn't draw me in enough to want to marathon the whole series (also, I don't have a copy of the second book yet).
