this was a really incredible book: a lovestory between a girl who recently experienced the loss of her sister and a suicidal boy outcast from society. it is a pretty sad book, and also quite unusual, with characters unlike any others. I loved the way that poetry and quotes were woven into the story, as Violet and finch share their passion for words. there were some really beautiful phrases in this book and also very moving ideas and scenes. I felt that Finch's death was very much expected from the beginning, and I didn't really feel that emotional when he did die to be honest, as it wasn't a shock. But it was still moving. i find it difficult to describe this book other than by saying "read it!"
definitely recommend.
