The Towering Sky
by Katharine McGee
Another book full of teen gossip, secrets, and all-around drama.
If we're being honest, I probably should have given up on this trilogy a while ago. I found the first two books to be kinda meh. Their stories and structures seemed to be almost the exact same with just different details. But, even so, I wanted to know what happened and if it got any better. Unfortunately, The Towering Sky felt like more of the same.
Don't get me wrong. I love a good teen drama fest full of gossip and secrets. This series really did have a lot of potential. I think the problem was I just didn't care. The characters weren't particularly compelling. I didn't care about them nor the drama in their lives. Plus, I just couldn't get behind the whole brother/sister romantic relationship thing (even if he was adopted.)
That being said, I did appreciate how Katherine McGee finished things off in this book. She really did a good job of satisfactorily tying up all the different story lines.
