All of Us Villains by C.L. Herman, Amanda Foody

“villainy in the modern age was a delicate balance.”

all of us villains was enrapturing and magnetic with every word, be it spell or curse. the idea of a hunger games-esque novel, only wrapped up in a gothic urban fantasy, piqued my interest from the minute i found it on a bottom shelf in barnes & noble. whenever i go book shopping, i always try to grab one book that i have never heard of, solely based on how it captures my attention… and wow, was this the RIGHT CHOICE. ᯓ★

the characters were intriguing and twisted— properly twisted too, not just erring on the shallow waters of morally grey-ness. i found myself enjoying some povs more than others, but by the end, i was completely invested in every single individual. my only issues with the book is how certain events played out & the reasoning behind certain things occurring, but as an overall book, it was fleshed out well and i was desperately invested in what would become of their fates.

i would recommend if you enjoy games, tournaments, anything of the sort, paired with intricate, fun magic systems & darker (might i even say villainous) characters
