This started off being exactly how I wanted it to be but the ending was kind of meh. In horror I like when all of the loose ends are tied up and I feel like this didn’t do that for me. I was left with a lot of whys, and I also just wanted more of the history of this house and this family to be explained. I think I will read this author’s other book though because I did get a lil bit creeped out and I feel like giving her another chance to wow me.
Graphic: Body horror, Death, Gore, Self harm, Suicide, Violence, Blood
Moderate: Child death, Suicidal thoughts, Cannibalism, Death of parent
