A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole

2.0

Giving this two stars solely for the humor that caught me off guard between the Valkyries, as well as the interesting bit of world building that I definitely wish there was more of a focus on. Otherwise there was way too much of a rapey quality to the main couple’s relationship that made me cringe and unable to relax into their story as it…unfolded? I just couldn’t get past that and the bland story.

A note about the audiobook version is that the voice actor is amazing at accents and his emotional inflection, but he’s absolutely terrible when he does a female voice.

2/10 weird start to 2023
