His Doll is a gothic dark romance that explores the unconventional relationship between two young adults who are both battling their own demons.
At first I thought there was no way this morally grey man could redeem himself, but I was so wrong.
I loved the spot light the author showed to mental illness. Trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues are very real and look different for everyone who experiences them. I know this is a work of fiction but the topics discussed are not and I appreciate so much that the healing aspect of these issues has been addressed. I know the way these characters have healed isn’t your typical way of processing these issues, however again it is Fiction and it worked for the story.
Aurora and Asher didn’t just save each other, they survived for each other too!
