I'll post a better review when I force myself to go back and read the whole thing but I only got about a chapter through before I couldn't take it. The writing is just so amateurish, like the author is constructing it exclusively using stock phrases. But I was intrigued by the world and I know the plot hadn't had a chance to get going yet, so I'll get back around to it eventually.
