An excellent job of creating an eerie atmosphere and a haunting sense of foreboding throughout the story.

The main character, Mallory, is a relatable and flawed character who is trying to rebuild her life after rehab. She takes a job as a nanny and quickly becomes attached to their son Teddy. However, when Teddy's drawings start to become more sinister and detailed, Mallory begins to suspect that there is something very wrong in the house.

The story is well-written and the pacing is just right. The author builds the tension slowly, but so worth it. The characters are well-developed and the relationships between them are realistic and believable. The book does a great job of exploring themes of grief, trauma, and the power of the imagination.

My favorite aspect of the book is the artwork! The illustrations of Teddy's drawings are haunting and add an extra layer of depth to the story. They also provide a visual representation of the growing danger that Mallory and Teddy are facing.

A well-crafted thriller that will keep you guessing until the very end. While there were a few moments where I felt like the story dragged on a bit too long, the final twist was worth the wait. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good mystery and is looking for a thrilling read.

"There's something unsettling about a child's drawing of a murder scene. It's like they know something we don't."
