Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy

3.0

I'm very glad to have finally vanquished this great classic novel by Tolstoy, however I can't say that he's my favourite writer. The situations and occupations of the 19th-century characters are too old-fashioned for me to relate to. I didn't altogether dislike the reading of Anna Karenina; it was an education about 19th-century Russia, its social structure, and its philosophical preoccupations.
