I have mixed feelings about this book. I’m glad I read it but I don’t think that I liked it all that much. The ghosts and mystery as to what happened to Eddie and how the end of the book pans out were the main reasons I kept going.
Andrew is great as an unreliable narrator but, like another reviewer said, is kind of an asshole. The choices he makes throughout the book pissed me off and his avoidance of focusing and talking about the hard topics that were happening to him really grated on me. And the fact that his denial that he was attracted to men was so strong but he kept noticing different things about Riley or Sam that made him hot and bothered that at one point I literally yelled “Just have sex with one of them.”
