The Overdue Life of Amy Byler by Kelly Harms

5.0

You know you're old when you feel much more sympathetic towards the mother rather than the child...I feel like when we read stories, they're always about how a child deals with their parent coming back. But we never think about what it feels like to be abandoned by your spouse or for them to just come back. We never look at how the parent who stuck around feels. And this was good insight into it. The book was a big draggy or boring at moments, and the ending felt a bit rushed, but I had a great time reading it and would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy read with a little bit of adventure #momspringa !
