Second Edition by Cleo White

4.0

This book was a fun read and, to be honest, it felt like a full circle. At first, I did not understand how the story connected to the title of this book. But after reading the last several chapters of this book, I finally understood why this title is called “Second Edition.” The MMC main focus is his daughter because his daughter was already “abandoned” by her mother. He needs this job so that he can provide the life that he wants for his child. He hires the FMC as his daughter’s nanny and knows that he should not have any sort of romance with her because 1) she is his kid’s nanny and 2) the FMC is his boss’s daughter. However, while the MMC is handling the second edition books of the former owner, he figured out why the owner collected so many second edition books. I am not going to spoil the plot but after finding out the meaning behind the former owner’s gestures/actions it makes sense why the title is given. As for how it connects to the FMC and MMC, the MMC uses his discovery to tell the FMC that he wants to give romance a second chance.

Overall, I like this book because it is so well written and I like the spicy scenes. I wish there were more drama between the FMC’s mom and the FMC/MMC.
