Ahh what a lovely Christmassy novella. I feel all festive now that I’ve read it! If you are looking for a nice, short, easy read then I definitely recommend Christmas Kisses and Wishes by Sharon Kleve.
The story is about Finn who is on a 12 month holiday following her divorce. She moves around every 3 months looking for somewhere to settle. She finds herself in the small town of Vine Grove and instantly falls in love but is it the town or the super-hot veterinarian Keaton Vanhorn that make her stay?
I thought this book had some lovely characters. I really liked Finn she was funny and kind and Keaton – well any man who loves animals so passionately is always going to be a winner with me! Obviously with the story being so short their relationship started quite quickly but sometimes people do find that instant connection and fall in love straight away.
I think it takes a really good author to be able to get so much story into such a short book and I wasn’t disappointed with this novella, I really enjoyed it. I think it had potential to be a full length novel as it had some really good elements that could easily have been expanded upon. I could also imagine this being a lovely heart-warming holiday film.
Overall a really good novella and I give it 4 stars!
